3 Eligibility Criteria

✅ Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification: Two-year Draftsman Training Course Certificate or Diploma from any Government-recognised institute. Civil Engineering graduates may also be eligible — verify equivalence clause in official notification.

Domicile: Must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. Valid domicile certificate required on or before 14 May 2026.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026): Open Merit (OM): 18–40 years | SC/ST/OBC/RBA/EWS: 18–43 years | PwBD: 18–42 years | Ex-Servicemen: up to 48 years.

6 Selection Process

The selection is entirely merit-based with no interview stage. Here's how it works:

Stage 1: Written / OMR Exam	Objective-type MCQs. Negative marking: ¼ mark deducted per wrong answer. Syllabus to be notified separately on jkssb.nic.in.
Stage 2: Document Verification	Merit-listed candidates called to verify original documents — qualification certificate, domicile, category certificate, photograph.
Final Selection	Based solely on marks in written exam. No interview. Final merit list prepared category-wise.
