Why this subject scores
- It is local. JKPSC, JKSSB and J&K Police papers ask many questions on your own history: Kalhana, Lalitaditya, Zain-ul-Abidin, the Treaty of Amritsar, 1931, 1947.
- It is name-and-date heavy. Rulers, books, monuments and treaties repeat every year, so tables give quick marks.
- It joins other subjects. The accession links to Polity, the Indus rivers link to Geography, and crafts and trade link to Economy.
- Competitors give you lists. We give you the pattern. Each unit ends with Exam tip and Memory trick boxes.
How to use these notes
- Read one topic at a time from the list on the left (or tap Topics on a phone).
- Make a one-page timeline of your own as you go. Rulers and dates stick when you write them.
- Read the Exam tip boxes, since they hold the points most often asked.
- In the last week, use Unit 12: Quick Revision only.
Start with the first topic: Sources of J&K History.
