Part XIV: what happens to old laws
| Group | Number (PRS summary of the Act) |

- Section 95 extends the listed Central laws to both UTs, including the Aadhaar Act, the Indian Penal Code, the Right to Education Act, the CrPC and the Evidence Act. The Ranbir Penal Code ended.
- Section 96 lets the Centre adapt or modify laws within one year of the appointed day, which it did through a series of Adaptation Orders between March and October 2020 (Central Laws and State Laws).
- Section 103 lets the Centre remove difficulties in giving effect to the Act.
- Parliament's Central laws such as the 73rd and 74th Amendments also took effect, so panchayats and municipalities follow the national pattern.
